If either or both are out of level the scanner automatically calculates and compensates and provides True and Accurate Measurements. Other measuring systems are seriously lacking in this very important area.
Combined with patented Live Targets the Eclipse is now the easiest measuring system to use, in fact it is so easy to use, it is the only system to offer online real time interactive training to and from the trainer and from the technician to trainer. There is “No Cost” for this exclusive training and it is available anytime the customer needs to train a new employee or for our Tech Support to access Their Eclipse System and take over it’s operation to assist in diagnosing any issue.
Featured on Mark Worman’s Graveyard Carz Television series you can watch The Videos of Mark using the Eclipse at his shop and see how easy and effective it is to set up and use. You Will Be Amazed!

There is lots of talk these days about Aluminum Repairs in the automotive collision repair industry, and rightly so. The unique properties offered by utilizing a plasma cutter in the auto body shop enable many positive advantages not equalled by any other method.
Several advantages are:
- No gas or fuel needed to operate (immediate savings)
- A confined razor-sharp concentrated energy cuts with less dispursed heat.
- Less buckling of material and less grinding as slag is mostly eliminated due to the very fine concentrated heat zone.
- Compressed air is all that is needed to convert to Plasma Gas.
- Less noise is produced providing a less hectic shop environment.
- Make spot welds much easier to break free.
Plasma Cutting is a great asset to the body shop or industrial application that requires fast precision cutting of ALL types of metal without distortion or metal degradation. No external Gas Required so it’s great on the shop budget.
Just feed it compressed air and the UltraCut 40E Inverter Plasma Cutter will do the rest as it creates a super fine concentrated jet of heated gas of up to 20,000 degrees or more.
Just simply attach a ground and compressed air, touch the cutting tip to the metal and move the torch while cutting through ANY metal that is electrically conductive. Metal warpage and slag is virtually gone and the cut is far superior to using the Oxy-Fuel method. You can even break spot welds too.
Once you have used plasma cutting you’ll never use your Oxy-Fuel torch again. Yes, it’s that far superior and fast while keeping your shop quiet and vastly productive.
We are running a special promotion in partnership with our premiere manufacturer AMH in bringing the premium CompuSpot UltraCut 40E plasma cutter to the auto body repair industry.
Here is the current promotion on a limited supply of premium CompuSpot UltraCut 40E Inverter Plasma Cutters now with Free Shipping and an assortment of Free consumables and Reduced Price. Promotion ends on Aug 31, 2013.

While spending several years on the auto body advisory committee of the Miami-Dade Public School System several things became quite apparent to me.
For one, auto body instructors are overwhelmed keeping up with teaching students and at the same time continuing their own collision repair education and maintaining the schools certifications. Also finding employment in shops for the new graduates was part of their responsibility. I realized the seriousness and frustration behind all this so I thought it’s time to get involved in a different way than the norm, after all to expect different results while doing the same old thing is futile.
I offered to dedicate a special webpage on the Pro Line Systems International Inc website and how I thought it will help them. Their response was overwhelming and the gears started turning. The page took some time to accomplish, the Miami Dade Schools have 5 schools offering auto body repair and refinishing training. On June 22, 2013 I finally reached 99.9% finished content and published the page. All 5 schools have their own special presentation on the webpage.
I have the highest respect for all the instructors and all they do to help the collision repair industry address the desperate issues of filling the demand for qualified entry-level technicians. I have seen the lives of their students take flight because of the first class efforts these dedicated instructors of the Miami-Dade Schools Programs perform.
Pro Line Systems is proud to be setting the standard of industry and education involvement for the betterment of the collision repair industry. Pro Line Systems And Miami Dade Schools are dedicated to making the Miami-Dade Auto Body Apprentice Program an exceptional example for other school systems and collision repair industry to follow.
We are looking for contributors and supporters, it doesn’t cost. Show your involvement and join these other fine institutions already on board. We’ll place your Logo showing your involvement in making a difference to the industry and all you need to do is make some mention on your site with a link to the Pro Line Systems / Miami-Dade Schools Tech Connect Page. That’s it!
You are encouraged to visit the “Tech Connect” Portal here. http://prolinesystems.net/miami_dade_schools.html
Your suggestions and comments are welcome, we’ll do everything to make the program exceptional so your input is helpful.

Every Shop owner knows this: Bottlenecks disturb the flow of production at any stage in the repair process which results in lost revenue and customer satisfaction. Today’s tight schedules and even tighter profit margins require rethinking of the paint department production process in order to be able to achieve the best turn around times that are crucial to a shops success.
No one can expect to achieve the best results in the paint shop utilizing the same old methods of doing things.
“If You Always Do What You’ve Always Done” “You’ll Always Get What You’ve Always Got”.
So True this statement is that if a quality production facility wishes to achieve the utmost refinish quality with the lightning speed necessary to maximize refinish throughput at the lowest cost the answer is here.
The Spectratek Overhead

Systems can be set up with the 4000 watt lamp array or the 8000 lamp array with up to 16,000 watts or more to cover extremely large areas of paint surface.
Custom Configurations are easy for manufacturing to develop for any particular application or need.
Here is a 36,000 watt custom configuration designed especially for this customer. The Spectratherm Overhead Track System was specifically designed to maximize vehicle throughput. Utilizing the Short Wave Infra-Red curing process, it combines; lamps, unique reflectors, lamp array, and a Thermal Integrated Sensor System (TISS) to significantly reduce standard curing and drying times.
The Short Wave Infra-Red curing heads are suspended from an overhead track system, freeing up valuable floor space. An “easy glide” bridge assembly makes positioning the curing heads on any vehicle panel effortless. The articulating arm can position the array as low as 9 inches off the shop floor or raise it above the tallest SUV.
There is no maneuvering of portable floor systems between tightly spaced work bays, eliminating any fear of accidental vehicle damage. The innovative track design and its cable carrier allow the track system to span multiple bays. There are no electric cables dragging along or cluttering up the floor.
Various options are available, floor mount, ceiling mount or a combinaison of both.
Other Notable features of the Spectratek Overhead Shortwave IR Curing System.
- Thermal Integrated Sensor System (TISS) to significantly reduce standard curing and drying times
- Ramp time settings
- Motorized arm positions lamp array in any position at the push of a button
- Digital Control Box
- Set and forget automatic sensing system / Industry leading Value Pricing
- Shortwave technology dries material from the bottom substrate up, allowing solvents and humidity to be released

Sep 4, 2012 Important tax planning implications updated for the 2012 tax year have been posted to this site.
Both the ‘Tax Relief Act of 2010’ as well as the ‘Jobs Act of 2010’ that passed in late 2010 affected Section 179 in a positive way for this 2012 tax year. Following are the highlights for the 2012 tax year:
2012 Deduction Limit = $139,000 Section 179 Deduction limit after adjustment for inflation has increased to $139,000 (maximum allowance would have been only $25,000 prior to the new legislation).
2012 Limit on Capital Purchases = $560,000 Section 179 Threshold for total of equipment & software that can be purchased has increased to $560,000 (threshold would have been only $200,000 prior to the new legislation).
2012 Bonus Depreciation = 50% The new law allows 50% “Bonus Depreciation” on qualified assets placed in service during 2012
Section 179 Deduction is available for most new and used capital equipment, and also includes certain software.
Bonus Depreciation can be taken on new equipment only (no used equipment, no software)
When applying these provisions, Section 179 is generally taken first, followed by Bonus Depreciation – unless the business has no taxable profit in 2012.
Also, many businesses are finding Section 179 Qualified Financing to be an attractive option in 2012.
Combine the savings you’ll get with the Section 179 program with bonus deductions along with your special pricing from Pro Line Systems and you will save thousands of dollars.

Spectratek Short Wave InfraRed technology makes a huge inpact on quality and production metrics in your shop at minimal cost.
Here are a few key points to keep in mind when you are ready to take the step.
- Reduces curing times of organic solvent based paint products
- Reduces drying times of water-based products
- Spectratek offers instant on/off -no warm-up or cool down periods
- Saves Energy because drying can be focused on the repaired area, not the entire vehicle
Short Wave IR – Technology of the Future, Today
- Short Wave IR is different from other curing methods in many ways. It dries and cures by penetrating through the wet coating and heating the layers underneath. A “Bottom-Up” Cure is far superior to the “top down” process associated with other curing methods in that it produces a more thorough cure, and more heat can be applied without fear of skinning and solvent popping or traped solvents.
- Now you can Punch your paint workflow through your shop quicker and better than ever with a Spectratek IR curing lamp.

Silicone Bronze welding is making it’s entry into the U.S. auto manufacturing industry at a steady pace. The main reason is it’s low heat qualities which is necessary for all modern steels such as Boron etc. Another plus is it’s low heat properties creates minimal damage to the corrosion protection of the metal. As with Aluminum welding Silicone Bronze Welding requires practice and a proper machine which has special programing and synergic control. The video will provide some idea as to the qualities achieved with this type of welding. As Always care should be taken by the technician to seek the latest manufacturer recommendations as to when and where to use silicone bronze welding.

Aluminum Dent Repair
How To Master The Technique
Facts About Aluminum Panels:
- Aluminum does NOT have a tendency to return to its original shape like steel which wants to spring back. As it is worked aluminum gets harder and stiffer. So, the amount of straightening and pulling that can be done in one area is often limited and the sequence in which damaged areas are worked can be critical.
- A natural oxidation barrier forms on a bare aluminum surface immediately and must be removed before welding, filling, priming, or painting.
- Both heat treatable and non-heat treatable aluminum alloys may be heated during dent repair, but the allowable heat range for dent repair is generally between 400º and 570ºF. Above 570ºF aluminum loses its temper and the characteristics of the metal are changed.
- Aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat. It gets hot faster than steel, but it also cools quicker. So, repairs must be carefully planned and done quickly, but gently and under control.
General Rules For Aluminum Repair:
- Tools for aluminum repair, (brushes, files, dollies, abrasives, etc.) should be reserved only for that purpose and stored separately.
- Sanding and grinding should be done with 80 grit abrasive or finer.
- To avoid cross contamination and galvanic corrosion, filings, grindings, and dust from aluminum should be vacuumed up, not blown off. Tools should be wiped down after use.
- Dents should be worked from outside inward (from indirect damage toward direct) to avoid creating a high spot. However, body line edges may have to be repaired first due the work hardening characteristic of the metal.
- Heat should never be applied to panel areas containing adhesive.
- Stainless steel wire brush.
- Propane torch or induction heater
- Non-contact thermometer or another heat monitor such as heat crayons, paint, or strips, or a thermocouple.
- Protective eyewear.
Using the CompuSpot 180Dent Pulling System:
Disable the vehicle electronics and safety restraint systems according to the OEM’s recommendations.
- Sand and clean the area to be worked.
- If necessary due to the size and depth of the dent, heat the damaged area to 350 to 400° (Do not exceed 570°F) to, relieve the stress, raise the low areas, and reduce the overall size of the dent. Take care not to burn the paint and coatings.
- Allow the panel to cool and clean again, if necessary.
- Apply the ground clamps so they are close to the work area with the dent being lined up directly between the grounds as much as possible.
- Prepare the machine by setting the power. Select a stud size based upon the thickness of the panel (Note: For most thin panels like hoods, trunk lids, etc. the 4mm stud is sufficient). Load the stud in the electrode holder with only 1 or 2 threads showing as depicted in the manual.
- Apply the stud. Begin with lower power settings and test the stud for pulling strength. If the panel is very thick, or if the ground clamps are far apart or must be positioned so that the dent is not on a line between them, it may be necessary to increase the voltage. Do NOT press too hard with the stud gun.
- Install the stud puller and position the lifter bar or puller pliers close at hand to be ready to pull.
- Reheat the panel as before and pull the dent while the panel is still hot. Work quickly, but gently. Take care not to over pull.
10.Remove the stud with side cutters. Do not try to twist off or flex
the stud from side to side.
11.File or sand the area as necessary. NOTE: Some spatter from
the stud welding process is normal. An improperly cleaned
panel, too high a voltage setting, and high humidity can all
increase the amount of spatter.
